Patricia *Ione Lloyd is part of the Smithsonian Griot Project and Folk Life Archive for the Library of Congress – Audio Interviews. Her most recent play “Little Louise” had a reading at Playwrights Horizons as part of the Red Bull New Classics Series. She was a 2013 Ink Tank playwright lab member. She was a resident playwright in Tanzania with the International Theatre and Literacy Project 2012. 2010 Ms. Lloyd was a playwright in residence at Brown University, and she was a playwright in residence for the Women’s Lab at New Perspectives Theatre Company NYC. 2009 playwright in residence at the University of Mumbai, India. She received New Professional Theatre’s Emerging Playwright Award for her play, Black Tale and Downtown Urban Theatre Festival’s Best Play Award for her play, This Train is Bound for Glory which is now being developed into a film.
